TES - Tear - building concepts 01

Description

I'm starting a fangame project mainly set in Tear, the Dres capital of Morrowind, some time before slavery was abolished. It would be a platform game with a gameplay somewhat reminiscent of Dishonored in that you could sneak your way through the level without killing anyone, or just butcher to the end --with consequences however, because as a "TES" game, actions must have consequences. You could customize the playable character's skills in way to suit your gaming experience and explore various possibilities of a plot tree. However there would be no character creation, you would be given a character to play with and discover his story as it unfolds, more like in Redguard with Cyrus.

As you might guess, the story will involve slavers, abolitionists, slaves, and overall, topics that are not suited for a PG-13 rating (use of alcohol, use of drug, sexual topics, etc). Well, the kind of things we could run across in Morrowind.

And so these are quick drafts I did for buildings, mostly based on insects since the swampy area and proximity to Black Marsh seems like a haven for giant bugs. And ALMSIVI knows if Dunmer love bugs as building and crafting materials, transportation, etc. I'll have to make much more drafts to come up with pieces that look good and can be used for gameplay purposes, and will still look good as pixelated sprites.

By the way, I'll be needing the help of a programmer because my abilities to code are somewhat limited. So if there's one around who'd be interested in the project... :)
(note: the game will be available for free of course, because copyright etc)
